BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is the trade name of Botulinum Type A, a powerful muscle toxin protein produced by Clostridium botulinum bacterium. When injected in tiny amounts directly into a specific muscle, an effect called botulism occurs, only relaxing the action of that muscle. This procedure is very effective at softening the lines that come from facial movements like frowning and squinting, tightening the facial skin.
